Nebraska Warriors

Supporting Veteran Health and Wellness

About us

Start Up

Created in January of 2019, the Nebraska Warriors had a quick start in the area.  After watching a game between the Minnesota Warriors and the Kansas City Warriors, the founding members saw the value of using sports as a healing tool for veterans.  They also witnessed the bonds between not only teammates, but the opposing team as well!  Less than 3 months later, the Nebraska Warriors was legally established.

During the first 6 months, the membership of the organization grew from 10 to 60 veterans.  A year later, our membership is at 120+!

As the organization continues to grow, we welcome new ideas and programs.  In 2020, we established the Softball program, in which a team participated in the Lincoln Rec Softball League.

In addition to sports, the Nebraska Warriors strives to include friends and families with organized events.  Christmas 2020 brought tough times, but in partnership with the Omaha Snipers, we held a Skate with Santa at the Grover Ice Rink in Omaha, NE.  Admission was a new, unwrapped gift that will then be donated to Toys for Tots.

The bonds that heal individual veterans also are used to strengthen the organization and its overall reach.  The Nebraska Warriors have partnered with other Veteran Support Organizations to create the Nebraska War Council.  This informal group meets quarterly in an effort to share resources to ensure every event that targets veterans is properly staffed and has the right tools.

In addition to this partnership, the Nebraska Warriors have also started their own Screen Printing division.  This was started to reduce the overall costs of apparel which, in turn, means more money can be used to support the individual veteran.  The Nebraska Warriors offer this custom apparel creation to other Veteran Support Organizations and veteran owned businesses.  To find out more about this service, please contact us at

Sponsors commit to supporting the mission of the Nebraska Warriors with a large monetary, service, or equipment donation.  In recognition of their support, sponsors receive special recognition for the Nebraska Warriors.

Minnesota Warriors

The Minnesota Warriors gave the Nebraska Warriors the seed money required to establish our organization.  a $5,000 grant along with documentation and guidance allowed the Nebraska Warriors to establish all the legal documents, licensing, and schedule our first series of events.  Without their support in the beginning, the Nebraska Warriors would not have become as successful as we are today.
